BBBC 2024 Fundraiser
Greetings BBBC members and friends our 2024 Annual Fundraiser was entitled “Fifty State Rally”. We kicked off our fundraiser in January and concluded it on October 13,2024. Members who chose to participate were asked to choose one of 50 states, designate a captain to their state and be responsible for raising a desired goal amount of $250.00 or more.
All I can say is that our fundraiser was a success from the very beginning. We had members raising donations via utilizing patron lists. Our youth held a bake sale after church; our out of town members phoned in and mailed their contributions. One of our younger members donated monies from her very own personal savings. During our 159th Church Anniversary a roll call of the 50 states with their captains were called as well as the amount of monies raised. I am so proud to report that at final count we had raised $17,502.00.
On behalf of Rev. Alexander Williams, Minister Jessica Morgan and BBBC 2024 Annual Fund Raiser Committee we would like to thank all members and friends who helped to make this Fifty State Rally a great success. To God be the Glory and all the blessings. Thank you.
Carolyn Goodwyn Birchette, Committee Chairman

Words of Encouragement
"I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit: for you can do nothing without me. Those who do not remain in me are thrown out like a branch and dry up; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it. My Father's glory is shown by you bearing much fruit; and in this way you become my disciples. I love you just as the Father loves me; remain in my love."
St. John 15:5-9 (Good News Translation)

Trustee Ministry
(submitted by Trustee Larry Goodwyn)
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 2:14
What a pleasure it is to greet you in the name of our Father and Lord, Jesus Christ. I must say, the year has really flown by quickly and here we are being given yet another opportunity to grow closer to our Heavenly Father.
The Trustee Ministry has been extremely busy this past year with the general upkeep of the church property. As with anything made by man and it being 158 years old, many challenges come with that upkeep. Structural issues have been addressed, electrical upgrades have been made, and external beatification improvements completed. As we look ahead into the coming year it is our hope to have the HVAC system completely replaced. The aging system has done well, but problems are beginning to frequently occur. As always, with everyone’s generous support, we will realize the completion of this endeavor by the end of the first quarter coming.
We were very excited when sister Alice Goodwyn expressed a desire to become a trustee. She loves serving the Lord and is a faithful member who does not mind helping wherever there is a need. As a ministry, we are honored to have her stand with this body of Christ as we continue doing the work.
Lastly, on behalf of Trustees Harry Smith, Tawanda Jefferson, Demetria Green, Alice Goodwyn, Ricky Coleman and respectfully yours Larry Goodwyn . . .we wish you all the best in the coming New Year.

Small Straws In A Soft Wind
by Marsha Burns
Stay current. You might need to run to catch up, but it will be worth the effort. Trying to live in the past never works. Live today by paying attention to what is and what needs to be done now so that you can be obedient to My leading, says the Lord. Do your best to live and walk in the Spirit.
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Cemetery Rally
Big Bethel Burial Park
The Cemetery is a particular part of our church ministry. Upkeep and maintenance of the grounds and surrounding acres are a significant part of our budget. We want to thank all members and families who contributed to our cemetery rally. Our rally will take place on the 4th Sunday in April.
Anyone with a loved one buried in the Cemetery, we are asking that you, please be a blessing to this rally with a donation of your choice. We will continue to take care of our Cemetery correctly, and we pray God’s continued blessings on all of you.

KEEP DRIVING
A lady was driving along with her father.
They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What should I do?"
He said "keep driving".. Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm was getting worse.
"What should I do." The young lady asked?
"Keep driving," her father replied.
On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling over. She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead. It is terrible, and everyone is pulling over!"
Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"
Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was again on dry land, and the sun came out.
Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out."
She said "But why now?"
He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up and are still in the storm,
because you never gave up your storm is now over.
This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times".
Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up.
You don't have to...if you keep going,
soon your storm will be over and the sun will shine upon your face again.
Never give up, because GOD will never give up on you!
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me!"
